Standard III
Model digital age work and learning
Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society.
• a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations
• b. Collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success
• c. Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats
• d. Model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning
REFLECTIONS: This semester was filled with demonstrated fluency and transfer of current knowledge. I went into this semester knowing how to create a Quiz, but not knowing how to use Google Forms. I took what I already knew to apply this new technology. I also created a rubric with help from another online resource. Using this rubric, I can communicate my expectations and grades to students and parents. My course site is also useful for this communication task.
FUTURE LEARNING GOAL: I would like to learn the gradebook software that I will be using in my future classrooms, so far I have only created grades in Excel and Forms.
